Job Description
In this role, you’ll be the go-to authority on complex estate structures, trusts, and tax-efficient planning strategies. You will lead from the front, guiding Financial Planners, influencing client strategy, and ensuring that every recommendation is not only compliant but also clever.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced estate planning strategies, including trust structures and tax-efficient solutions.
- Provide expert advice on estate duty, CGT, income tax, and fiduciary implications.
- Review and sign off on complex estate and risk analyses prepared by Financial Planners.
- Act as the subject matter expert across estate and fiduciary planning.
- Ensure compliance with legislation such as the Estate Duty Act, Income Tax Act, and Trust Property Control Act.
- Collaborate with Wealth Planners, Advisors, legal, tax, and fiduciary specialists on complex client cases.
- Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to Financial Planners.
- Oversee estate planning reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and top-tier quality.
- Monitor legislative changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Relevant degree (BCom, Finance, Accounting, or LLB).
- Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
- CFP® designation (non-negotiable).
- Advanced Diploma in Estate Planning.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in estate planning, with exposure to complex trust structures.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning, fiduciary law, and tax legislation.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, able to simplify the complex.
