We are looking for a South African profession willing to relocate to Luanda, Angola.

An established multinational organisation headquartered in Europe, with a significant footprint across Africa, is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Regional Controlling Manager to be based in Luanda, Angola.
 
This role is ideally suited to a South African finance professional with a strong work ethic and a passion for partnering with the business. We are looking for a well-rounded individual who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level and who thrives in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
 
 
Duties:
 

  • Lead project controlling activities across multiple operations.
  • Partner with business leaders to support commercial decision-making.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor overhead costs and implement effective cost-control measures.
  • Prepare and present meaningful management reporting and performance analysis.
  • Support group reporting requirements and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Identify risks, opportunities and initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Provide financial insights that support operational excellence and business growth.

 
Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:
 

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or a related field.
  • CTA, or Honours degree will be advantageous
  • CA(SA), CIMA, CGMA

 
Experience:

  • 8 – 10 years proven experience within FP&A, commercial finance or controlling environments.
  • Strong exposure to: Project controlling, Business partnering, Budgeting and forecasting and Cost and overhead management.
  • Ability to operate as a commercially focused finance business partner.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Portuguese is essential.
  • Experience within infrastructure, engineering, construction, telecommunications, energy or other project-based industries will be advantageous.

 
 
Skills & Competencies:
 

  • Strong FP&A, project controlling, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
  • Experience in cost control, management reporting and business partnering.
  • Sound understanding of IFRS and advanced Excel and ERP systems proficiency.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across a multinational environment.
  • Results-driven, adaptable and able to navigate complexity.
  • High levels of accountability, integrity and professionalism.
  • Fluent in Portuguese, with strong English communication skills.
