Hire Resolve’s client is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Resident Engineer to join a renowned engineering consulting firm in Pretoria. As an Electrical Resident Engineer, you will work closely with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure successful completion of electrical projects in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of construction projects, conducting site inspections, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring quality control. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in managing electrical engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight and guidance to electrical contractors
• Review electrical design drawings and specifications
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards
• Manage project schedules and budgets
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and contractors to resolve any electrical-related issues
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
• Prepare progress reports and documentation 

Requirements:

• Must be registered as professional with ECSA
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer for construction projects
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards
• Experience with construction contract administration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
