About the Role
Our client in the Logistic Industry is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control systems, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Keeping stock control system up to date and making sure inventories are accurate
- Stock take
- Receive stock delivered from the Supplier
- Issue stock to 3rd parties
- Highest standard of housekeeping kept at all time
- Ensure all stock control procedures are in place
- Investigate, resolve stock take variances timeously
- Provide solutions to resolve and prevent future variances
- Manage stock
- Issue and receive all stock
- Change store layout to optimize space utilization
- Daily planning of stock issue
- Initiate continuous improvement projects
Requirements
- Computer/Scanner aptitude
- Previous experience in the locomotive industry will be advantageous
- Previous experience on SAP will be advantageous
- Forklift driving skills
- Advanced problem solving and fault-finding skills
- Formal Qualification in Inventory
- Forklift License
- Preferred experiential background in locomotive operations
- Computer Literate
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Driver’s License (Code EB)
- Ability to manage all aspects of the role in a pressurized environment
- Knowledge and application of industrial and personal safety behaviors
