About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to oversee a high-performing team of sales consultants within our call centre environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, optimising campaign execution, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing leads sourced from real estate partners, bond originators, alternative lead channels, and direct marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Motivate and manage a team of sales consultants to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance reviews
- Implement strategies to improve productivity, conversion rates, and overall team effectiveness
- Oversee the allocation and management of leads from various sources including: Real estate partners, Bond originators, Alternative lead channels, Direct marketing campaigns
- Monitor lead pipeline effectiveness and ensure timely follow-up and conversion
- Drive the execution and optimisation of sales campaigns
- Analyse performance trends and recommend improvements to enhance campaign impact
- Work closely with marketing and operations to refine processes and messaging
- Ensure adherence to FAIS, RE5, and all regulatory and internal compliance standards
- Conduct call assessments and quality checks to ensure excellent customer experience and compliance with sales protocols
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
- Provide insights to improve sales performance and customer engagement strategies
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) – mandatory
- RE5 Certification – mandatory
- FAIS recognised qualification – mandatory
- Proven experience in short-term and/or long-term insurance sales within a call centre environment – essential
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing sales teams – essential
- Experience or knowledge related to Wills – advantageous
