About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client is seeking to hire a Cost and Management Accountant to join their team in Saldanha Bay. An opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and experienced Cost and Management Accountant to join a finance team operating within the bio-refinery industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Monitor production costs, raw material usage, energy consumption, and yield variances.
- Handle fixed asset accounting and manage depreciation schedules.
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis functions.
- Assist in internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Track capital projects and operational expenditures.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between financial records and plant activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year of hands-on payroll processing
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting, particularly within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Competency with accounting and payroll systems such as Sage Cloud Accounting and Sage Cloud Business Payroll
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of labour regulations, tax filings, and employee benefits administration
