About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Clinix Health Group Ltd, based in Sandton. As a key member of our analytics and data science team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all data analysis related work for the Group. You will work closely with our data management team to execute data strategy and ensure that all data analytics and business intelligence efforts are conducted within best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize data analysis related work for the Group
- Execute data strategy and ensure compliance with best practice standards for data analytics and business intelligence
- Work with CHGs data management to digitise and automate reports, data capture, and workflows through effective business intelligence solutions
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain effective and value adding tools on key performance indicators using the appropriate BI solutions
- Partner and collaborate with different departments (or hospitals) to manage deliverables effectively and enhance BI solutions
- Conduct data quality audits as necessary
- Implement, monitor, and control business processes according to quality standards, policy, and compliance and governance requirements
- Research, enable, and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology
- Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimize redundancy
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related field
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of data analysis/engineering experience with clinical coding including ICD-10 and CPT coding (advantageous)
- Material coding including NAPPI codes, ATC codes (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance
- Experience in translating complex data into actionable business insights
- Advantageous: Modelling concepts including GLMs, Machine learning models. Advanced SQL knowledge and working with RDBMS such as SQL Server, Microsoft PowerBI Azure Data Factory, CI/CD pipelines and Healthcare experience
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related field)
