About the Role
The Sales & Functions Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving revenue and delivering exceptional event experiences at The Venue. This dynamic individual is responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, coordinating events from enquiry through to execution, and ensuring seamless communication between clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to event enquiries and convert leads into confirmed bookings
- Conduct site visits and client consultations
- Prepare and present tailored proposals and quotations
- Follow up on leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities and grow existing client relationships
- Assist with marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns
- Manage events from confirmation through to execution
- Compile detailed function sheets and event briefs
- Liaise with operations, catering, décor, technical, and external suppliers
- Coordinate timelines, floor plans, and client requirements
- Attend events when required to ensure smooth delivery
- Conduct post-event follow-ups to maintain client relationships
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in sales and/or event coordination (hospitality preferred)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with CRM systems advantageous
