About the Role
Bushwise is seeking a skilled Relief Travel Specialist to join our team in Sandton, South Africa. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for managing consultant desks during leave periods, handling quotes and travel proposals, and delivering seamless travel experiences across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage consultant desks during leave periods (full function support)
- Handle quotes, requotes, and ongoing travel proposals
- Design creative, tailor-made itineraries
- Assist with brochure quotes and bookings during peak periods
- Support educational trips and agent experiences
- Communicate with agents, sales teams, and suppliers
- Follow up on leads and ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
- 35 years inbound tour consulting experience
- Strong knowledge of Southern & East Africa (advantageous)
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, WETU; Tourplan beneficial)
- Strong understanding of the travel industry and sales processes
- High attention to detail and admin-driven mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly
- Passion for guest service and travel
