Rail Maintenance Specialist Report to: Operations Seniority Level: Mid Career (Above 6 yrs exp) Region: Freestate Type: Temp Duties and Responsibilities: Short Description / Purpose of Job: To provide Engineering services and technical support to Business Units servicing the retail service station network by effective project planning, management, implementation and control. Maintenance activities and practices are conducted to optimize Sasol asset utilization by ensuring best engineering practice supported by the highest level of compliance to all relevant safety rules, regulations and legislation. This involves installation of new equipment or replacing old equipment and conducting maintenance at Retail sites. Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities: Evaluation of project requests. Compile the scope of work and calculate the cost estimates. Schedule projects and control contractors. Perform regular site visits. Prepare and submit annual budgets. Liaise with contract departments. Investigate customer claims. Compile project status reports. Formal Education: University Bachelor’s Degree Min Experience: 6 relevant years
