About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Events & Tents Operations Manager to join our team in Somerset West. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tented and event installations, ensuring events are delivered on time, within scope, and to required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all tented and event installations and breakdowns.
- Ensure accurate event planning and preparation prior to site delivery.
- Schedule crews, vehicles, and equipment for events.
- Coordinate transport, loading, and offloading of event infrastructure.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including stock control and equipment allocation.
- Manage permanent staff, casual crews, and subcontractors.
- Conduct site risk assessments and enforce safe work practices.
- Liaise with clients, venues, suppliers, and internal sales teams.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience in event operations, tented events, logistics, or a related operational field. Proven experience managing teams in high-pressure environments. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and during peak event periods. Valid South African drivers license (Code B minimum; EB/C1 advantageous).
