About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting services to our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare multiple cashbooks using Sage Bank Manager
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Allocate debtor receipts & creditor payments
- Respond to ad-hoc Accounting and HR queries
- Reconcile manual MS Excel attendance registers to Sage ESS leave applications
- Fleet Card Maintenance: Order, update, and cancel Wesbank Fleet Fuel cards online
- Payroll & Reporting: Process monthly Sage VIP payroll from Excel schedules
- Review sales commission forms
- Extract and submit EMP201 and load payments
- Load monthly payslips and IRP5s on ESS
- Create FNB OBE payroll import file
- Run monthly UIF declarations (VIP)
- Extract CTC reports and reconcile staff loans, medical aid, and pension to Sage
- Submit Sanlam Pension Fund contributions online
- Reconcile Discovery Medical Aid / Vitality statements
- Submit Discovery Group Life contributions
- Complete and submit IRP5s after interim & annual EMP501 reconciliations
- Submit CIPC annual returns & process company changes
- Prepare and submit VAT201 and provisional tax IRP6 returns
- Extract tax clearance certificates & review notices on e-Filing
- Complete annual COIDA returns
Requirements
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Advanced MS Excel Experience with SAGE 200 Evolution IQ and Premier Payroll advantageous
- Strong time management & prioritisation
- Clear verbal communication
- Planning & organising ability
- Team–orientated mindset
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Commerce, or related field
- Payroll, accounting, or tax-related certifications advantageous (previous experience not mentioned)
