Assistant Lodge Manager | Luxury Nature Lodge Opportunity A renowned luxury nature lodge set within one of South Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes is seeking a passionate and dynamic Assistant Lodge Manager to join its leadership team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a high-end guest-focused environment, enjoys leading teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional, personalized guest experiences. ✨ The Role Working closely with the General Manager and Lodge Manager, you will help oversee the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring seamless service across all departments while maintaining world-class hospitality standards. Your leadership will help create memorable and meaningful guest experiences from arrival to departure. Key Focus Areas Guest Experience • Personally welcome and engage with guests to ensure a warm and memorable stay • Ensure all guest requests and special arrangements are handled seamlessly • Manage guest feedback professionally and resolve concerns promptly • Build meaningful guest relationships that encourage repeat visits Operations Management • Support the smooth daily running of lodge operations across departments • Coordinate activities between housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and guiding teams • Ensure all guest areas and facilities consistently reflect 5-star luxury standards • Assist with inventory management and operational logistics Team Leadership • Mentor and support Front-of-House teams to deliver outstanding service • Assist with performance reviews, training, and staff development • Foster a positive, professional, and motivated team culture Food & Beverage Oversight • Ensure exceptional service standards across breakfast, lunch, and dinner • Monitor food presentation, quality, and dietary requirements • Lead daily service briefings to align teams and maintain consistency Quality & Innovation • Conduct daily lodge inspections to uphold luxury standards • Ensure operational procedures and service standards are maintained • Support sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible practices • Contribute ideas that enhance guest experiences and operational excellence What We’re Looking For • A hospitality professional with strong leadership and operational experience in luxury lodges or hotels • A guest-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail • The ability to lead teams, manage multiple departments, and deliver seamless service • A passion for nature, hospitality, and creating unforgettable guest experiences Live and work in an inspiring natural setting while helping deliver one of South Africa’s most memorable luxury lodge experiences.
