About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Credit and Pricing Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our commercial engine, you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights that inform our credit and pricing decisions. You will work closely with the Group Head of Credit to develop and maintain analytical models that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Sit at the centre of our commercial engine, reporting to the Group Head of Credit
- Develop and maintain analytical models that shape our credit and pricing decisions
- Provide data-driven insights that inform business strategy and profitability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Advanced skills in Python or R for statistical analysis and modelling (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, seaborn)
- Experience building and maintaining credit scorecards, pricing models, and complex financial/P&L forecasts
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization tools is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Honours degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- 2-5 years of experience in credit risk, pricing, or data science
- Preferably within fintech, lending, or financial services
Salary & Benefits
- Cost to company salary of R960K PA (negotiable on experience and ability)
