About the Role
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Sales Representative to support revenue growth through effective client management, stock collections, and ongoing supplier engagement within the catalytic converter department.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with existing catalytic converter suppliers and clients.
- Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure ongoing supply, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client enquiries, pricing discussions, and service-related matters.
- Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally to sustain strong working relationships.
- Promote trust, reliability, and consistency in all client interactions.
- Coordinate and manage catalytic converter collections from client locations.
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse, and operations teams to schedule and execute collections efficiently.
- Verify stock details, quantities, and client documentation prior to collection.
- Attend key or high-volume client collections to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication between clients, logistics, and finance teams.
- Support revenue targets through consistent supply from existing clients and targeted account growth.
- Identify opportunities to increase volumes and strengthen account performance.
- Assist with pricing discussions and quotation preparation in line with company policies.
- Follow up on outstanding quotations and pending transactions.
- Encourage continued business through proactive engagement and service delivery.
- Work closely with the finance department to support collections of outstanding payments.
- Follow up with clients regarding invoices, statements, and payment timelines.
- Assist in resolving payment queries and discrepancies.
- Promote adherence to agreed payment terms and credit policies.
- Maintain awareness of catalytic converter pricing trends, PGM values, and competitor activity.
- Gather client and market feedback to support pricing and sourcing strategies.
- Identify high-value suppliers and growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Provide regular market and client insights to management.
- Maintain accurate client records, contracts, quotations, and collection documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular activity, collection, and client status reports.
- Ensure all purchasing, onboarding, and compliance documentation is complete and up to date.
- Comply with internal controls, procedures, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing or related (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license
