About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team at a trusted and well-established Diamond Status Hospital in The Middle East. As CFO, you will oversee financial operations and play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accountants and financial staff as well as the hospital’s cash flow, including forecasting, monitoring, and optimizing cash reserves to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and financial reporting requirements, including tax filings, licensing, and statutory reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making by senior management.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads and finance teams to develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial targets.
  • Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, optimizing cash conversion cycles and minimizing financial risks.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies for audits and compliance reviews, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial documents and reports.
  • Provide financial support and guidance to operational teams, assisting with financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in healthcare finance, implementing changes as necessary to maintain compliance and optimize financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or financial analyst, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cash flow management principles, financial reporting standards, and state laws and regulations governing healthcare finance.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP, ERP systems), with the ability to generate accurate and insightful financial reports.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose creative solutions to complex financial challenges.
