About the Role
We’re looking for a Data Analyst who thinks like an entrepreneur – someone who doesn’t just report on data, but uses it to uncover opportunities, drive decisions, and influence business growth. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, commercially minded, and eager to take ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract & explore data: Work with databases and data warehouses to uncover trends and operational insights that matter.
- Build reports & dashboards: Develop intuitive dashboards and visualizations that translate complex information into clear, accessible performance indicators for stakeholders.
- Support data-driven decisions: Collaborate closely with business teams, understand their analytical needs, and convert them into impactful data solutions that guide strategy and execution.
- Own data quality: Play a key role in ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial experience, such as:
- Working in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Supporting a founder-led or early-stage business.
- Building or running your own side business, product, or venture.
- Taking ownership of revenue, growth, or operational decisions using data.
Qualifications
- Strong SQL skills; experience with a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in Excel and Python for analysis.
Salary & Benefits
Cost to company is up to R500k per annum, negotiable on experience and ability.
