Director of Culture, Learning & People Development New Luxury Five Star Hotel, Southern Africa Our client is opening a stunning luxury five star hotel in Southern Africa with over 250 keys, multi F&B outlets and conference facilities for up to 2000 guests. They are now looking for a passionate, energetic Director of Culture, Learning & People Development to join them and assist with the implementation and maintenance of all Human Resources policies and procedures across all departments in the property full head count of the Hotel once open will be approximately 700 staff This is a challenging role in a challenging environment and the successful candidate will be a solid all round Human Resources professional who has preferably held a pre-opening role in a four or five star Hotel. The role requires a well balanced, calm individual who is used to operating under pressure and who is extremely hands on and highly knowledgeable in all facets of Culture, Learning & People Development disciplines.. Key attributes / Skills Prior African experience is a pre-requisite for this role. Calm and collected in personality with excellent decision making skills Must be holding a similar position in a reputable four of five star Hotel with at least three years of senior Human Resource, Training, or People Development experience Willing to go the extra mile and work long hours if required Must be holding a similar position in a four or five star Hotel Sound knowledge of HR practices including industrial relations, recruitment, training and development, administration, succession planning, etc Strong business acumen Excellent written and verbal communication skills must be fluent in English Strong interpersonal skills Must be a self starter who is confident, self motivated and have a Can Do attitude Up to speed with the latest trends and practices Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality at all times Computer literate Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field. Package Salary of US$3,000 to US$4,000 net per month negotiable Medical cover Accommodation Annual flight home Single Status only Please do not apply if you do not possess the specified skills and experience stated above.
