About the Role
Our client, a luxury five star hotel in Southern Africa, is seeking a passionate and energetic Director of Culture, Learning & People Development to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining all Human Resources policies and procedures across the property, supporting a full head count of approximately 700 staff once open.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain all Human Resources policies and procedures across the property
- Assist with the implementation of employee onboarding and training programs
- Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure continuity of key roles
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement performance management systems
- Provide guidance and support to employees on company policies, procedures, and expectations
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including suppliers and contractors
Requirements
- Prior African experience is a pre-requisite for this role
- Calm and collected personality with excellent decision making skills
- Holding a similar position in a reputable four or five star Hotel with at least three years of senior Human Resource, Training, or People Development experience
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times

- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

- US$3,000 to US$4,000 net per month (negotiable)
