Job Description

We are looking for an experienced ERP Systems & Integrations Lead to take ownership of our enterprise application landscape across multiple African markets. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, performance, and scalability of our ERP ecosystem, supporting critical retail, eCommerce, logistics, and finance operations. You will serve as the technical custodian of our ERP platforms, integrations, and supporting infrastructure, providing advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 support while driving continuous improvement, system optimization, and operational excellence. Working closely with business stakeholders and technology partners, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless customer and employee experience across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Nigeria, and other markets as the business expands. ERP Platform Ownership Administer and maintain ERP and retail systems including Syspro 7/8, Syspro POS, and associated environments. Ensure platform availability, performance, backup integrity, and disaster recovery readiness. Manage production, testing, and sandbox environments. Support month-end and year-end business processes from a systems perspective. Incident & Problem Management Lead the investigation and resolution of complex ERP and integration incidents. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for critical business systems. Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions. Coordinate incident response activities and stakeholder communications during major outages. Integrations Management Own and support integrations across platforms including Translution, Scale WMS, Magento, Shopify, and Flowgear. Monitor interfaces, data flows, job schedules, and integration performance. Work with vendors and partners to resolve integration issues and improve reliability. Drive automation and continuous improvement across integration processes. Change & Release Management Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, enhancements, and releases. Maintain release schedules, rollback plans, and system documentation. Participate in change governance processes and risk assessments. Ensure successful deployment and validation of system changes. Data Integrity & Governance Maintain high standards of data quality across ERP and integrated systems. Monitor reconciliations between orders, stock, sales, and financial transactions. Support Finance and operational teams with data validation and period-end processes. Implement controls that support audit and compliance requirements. Security & Compliance Manage user access controls and segregation of duties. Ensure compliance with POPIA and internal governance standards. Maintain audit-ready documentation for system access, changes, backups, and security controls. Support internal and external audit activities. Monitoring, Performance & Architecture Continuously improve system performance and reliability. Maintain a lean, scalable application architecture with minimal unnecessary complexity. Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis. Evaluate new business requirements and recommend sustainable technical solutions. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Mentor and support ERP Support Administrators and junior team members. Build strong relationships with Finance, Retail Operations, eCommerce, Logistics, and Technology teams. Manage vendor relationships and service-level performance. Promote best practices, documentation standards, and knowledge sharing across the business. Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience. 35 years’ experience administering ERP platforms, preferably Syspro. Experience supporting retail POS environments. Strong SQL knowledge including querying, indexing, backups, and performance troubleshooting. Experience with Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals. Exposure to integration platforms and middleware such as Flowgear. Understanding of monitoring tools, job schedulers, and automation processes. Advantageous ITIL Foundation certification. Experience within retail, distribution, or omnichannel environments. Knowledge of POPIA, access governance, and segregation of duties controls. Experience supporting warehouse management and eCommerce platforms. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. A customer-first mindset with a passion for service excellence. Calm and decisive leadership during high-pressure incidents. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language. Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Ability to mentor and develop junior team members while collaborating effectively across business and technology teams.
