About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Guide / Front of House to join our owner-run Big 5 bush lodge. As part of our tight-knit team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while contributing to our conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and host guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable lodge experience
  • Manage check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and daily guest administration
  • Handle guest queries, special requests, and activity scheduling with strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, and guiding teams to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Conduct stock takes, monitor inventory, and support ordering and stock control
  • Assist with invoicing, billing, and general lodge administration
  • Maintain front of house standards and lodge presentation at all times
  • Step in as a relief field guide to assist or lead game drives when required
  • Ensure guest safety and deliver engaging wildlife and environmental experiences

Requirements

  • Front of House experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience with stock take and invoicing
  • FGASA Level 1 (minimum)
  • Valid PDP and drivers licence
  • Valid First Aid certificate
