About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Guide / Front of House to join our owner-run Big 5 bush lodge. As part of our tight-knit team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while contributing to our conservation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and host guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable lodge experience
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and daily guest administration
- Handle guest queries, special requests, and activity scheduling with strong attention to detail
- Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, and guiding teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Conduct stock takes, monitor inventory, and support ordering and stock control
- Assist with invoicing, billing, and general lodge administration
- Maintain front of house standards and lodge presentation at all times
- Step in as a relief field guide to assist or lead game drives when required
- Ensure guest safety and deliver engaging wildlife and environmental experiences
Requirements
- Front of House experience
- Attention to detail
- Good computer skills
- Experience with stock take and invoicing
- FGASA Level 1 (minimum)
- Valid PDP and drivers licence
- Valid First Aid certificate
