About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled House Manager to join our luxury boutique hotel team, nestled on the majestic slopes of Cape Town’s Table Mountain. As the face of our property, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth daily operation of all departments, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure maintenance, cleanliness, and overall property standards are maintained at the highest level.
- Manage compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, and handle property events and conferences.
- Drive guest experience standards to deliver top-level, personalised service, ensuring thorough planning for each guest’s stay.
- Manage guest feedback, ensuring staff interactions are courteous, professional, and meet the hotel’s high-quality standards.
- Oversee hotel staff, ensuring adequate manpower and efficient scheduling.
- Lead recruitment and training efforts and foster a positive, motivated work environment.
- Monitor and manage hotel operating costs, budgets, and resources in collaboration with the Hospitality Manager.
- Ensure accurate food and beverage purchases, stock control, and invoice processing.
Requirements
- Formal Qualification in Hospitality Management, Accommodation Management, or a closely related hotel operations field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a boutique hotel, luxury guesthouse, or high-end hospitality environment.
- Experience in POS & PMS systems.
- Strong leadership and people skills.
- Meticulous organisation skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Guest-centric attitude.
