About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Field Guide for a prestigious private wildlife reserve situated in the breathtaking Kalahari region. We are looking for dynamic and driven individuals who are eager to grow in the industry and bring energy, knowledge, and charisma to the guiding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead informative and immersive game drives and bush walks for guests
- Provide educational and entertaining commentary about flora, fauna, and ecosystems
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all guests during activities
- Maintain vehicles and equipment to a high standard
- Assist with conservation initiatives and wildlife monitoring where needed
- Contribute to creating memorable guest experiences at every touchpoint
Requirements
- FGASA Level 2 qualification (minimum)
- Lead Trails Guide qualification
- 58 years experience in the field guiding industry
- Valid PDP and First Aid certification
- DEAT registered Rifle competency certification
- Strong track record of guiding experience in Big 5 reserves
- A genuine passion for wildlife, conservation, and guest experience
