About the Role

Join a growing, fast-paced organisation within the transport sector as a Financial Manager, where you will play a key role in strengthening and leading the finance function. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a dynamic operational environment, contributing to process improvements and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of Finance in day-to-day finance operations
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
  • Ensuring accurate general ledger processing, reviews, and reconciliations
  • Managing cash flow planning and banking processes
  • Overseeing debtors, creditors, and revenue reconciliations
  • Ensuring SARS compliance and all statutory submissions
  • Participating in and managing year-end audit processes
  • Implementing and maintaining financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Identifying and driving finance process improvements
  • Monitoring operational costs and ensuring accurate cost allocations
  • Leading and developing junior finance staff
  • Building a high-performance culture within the finance team

Requirements

  • BCom Accounting / Finance degree or equivalent
  • SAICA AGA, SAIPA, or CIMA (essential)
  • 2-3 years’ post-article experience in a commercial/non-audit environment
  • Proven experience managing people and finance processes
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience in transport, logistics, or operational environments (advantageous)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
