About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead our finance team and oversee the full financial accounting function. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of driving profitability through cost optimization. Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor members of the finance team to promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and service excellence
Oversee the full financial accounting function, including journals, reconciliations, month-end, management accounts, and intercompany transactions
Manage financial systems development according to business and reporting needs
Drive profitability through continuous review of departmental cost structures, margins, and yields
Lead annual budgeting and forecast cycles, collaborating closely with Heads of Department to ensure realistic, data-driven forecasting
Perform preliminary analysis of variances between budgets, actuals, forecasts, statistics, and KPIs

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years post-article experience in financial management or senior accounting
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead, guide, and support members of the team
Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills
Commercially minded with a strategic outlook and hands-on operational awareness

Qualifications

BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
Completion of SAICA articles
