About the Role
We are seeking an experienced couple with a strong background in lodge management to join our team as General Managers of our luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger wilderness. As a hands-on couple, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of lodge operations, ensuring a seamless blend of guest experience, operational efficiency, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full daily operations of the lodge, ensuring a high-end guest experience
- Manage front of house, guest relations, and hosting duties
- Supervise and support all departments, maintaining operational standards
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and inventory management across departments
- Manage food & beverage service, ensuring quality and consistency
- Take responsibility for basic maintenance oversight and coordination
- Lead, train, and motivate staff, fostering a positive team culture
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and lodge policies
- Handle administrative duties, reporting, and budgeting alongside ownership
Requirements
- Proven experience as a lodge management couple within a luxury or boutique safari environment
- Strong combined skill set across operations, including stock management, F&B service, and maintenance
- Excellent guest relations and hosting abilities
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Good administrative and organisational capabilities
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a remote environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
