About the Role
The Petousis Hotel Group, comprising The Vineyard, Oude Werf, and Stellenbosch Hotels, is seeking a highly skilled Group Marketing Specialist Digital Performance & Implementation to join our team. As a key member of our commercial marketing and sales team, you will play a crucial role in improving the commercial impact of our websites and booking journeys. With a focus on hands-on digital performance, this role is designed to drive measurable results through data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve commercial impact of websites and booking journeys
- Expand executional digital capacity across the group
- Implement and validate UX, CRO, and performance improvements across digital platforms
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot analytics, tracking, and behavioural tools (e.g., GA4, Microsoft Clarity)
- Analyse digital and bookingjourney behaviour to identify friction points and optimisation opportunities
- Act as internal interface with website developers and IBE partners
- Translate commercial and performance requirements into clear implementation briefs
- Review and QA development outputs to ensure alignment with UX, conversion, and booking objectives
- Support optimisation of the end-to-end booking journey
- Validate all implemented improvements and align performance insight with campaigns, content, and creative work
- Engage with external SEO, analytics, and IBE partners and validate implementation accuracy
- Provide digital performance insight to commercial reporting, including monthly and board-level updates
- Maintain documentation of tracking frameworks, platform configurations, and optimisation activity
Requirements
- 35 years of experience in digital performance, analytics, optimisation, or related commercial digital roles
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Digital Marketing, Analytics, Commerce, etc.)
- Proven hands-on experience executing in analytics; tracking, UX, and bookingjourney platforms
- Ability to independently implement, configure, QA, and troubleshoot changes across digital tools
