About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Guide Trainer / Assistant Trainer to join our team at a prestigious luxury safari tour company in Botswana. As a key member of our training department, you will play a crucial role in developing future guides and ensuring they meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the training and development of new guides to meet industry standards
- Mentor junior guides and provide ongoing feedback and support
- Conduct training sessions and practical field exercises
- Ensure guides are up to date with the latest safety protocols, guiding techniques, and regulations
- Help maintain training materials and update as needed
- Contribute to maintaining a high standard of guest experience and safety
Requirements
- FGASA NQF Level 4 certification
- Assistant Trails Guide qualification
- Actively pursuing Advanced Field Guide certification
- At least 3 years of relevant guiding experience
- Strong communication and training skills
- A passion for conservation and sharing knowledge about the African bush
