About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and connected Business Development Manager to join our team in South Africa, with a focus on expanding our regional business in the chemical and solvent trading industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity chemicals trading for lubricants and be well-connected in the local industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and identify growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners
  • Develop strategies for entering and expanding in new markets
  • Lead sales activities, negotiate contracts, and manage pricing
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, and logistics teams
  • Ensure compliance with local/international regulations and trade laws
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance and market conditions
