About the Role

Safari JOBS Ltd is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join their luxury safari lodge team. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional pastry experiences that exceed our guests’ expectations. With a focus on refined presentation, consistent quality, and attention to detail, we are looking for a chef who shares our passion for creating memorable dining moments.

Key Responsibilities

Execute dishes according to high-end dining standards
Maintain consistently high standards of taste, presentation, and technical execution
Follow recipes and plating guides and ensure consistency across all services
Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Work closely with the kitchen brigade to maintain a positive and respectful kitchen culture
Communicate clearly with senior chefs regarding prep, timing, and service flow
Assist with stock rotation, storage, and portion control
Support cost-effective kitchen operations by minimising wastage
Ensure workstations and equipment are clean, functional, and well maintained
Follow daily cleaning schedules and lodge hygiene standards

Requirements

Culinary qualification
Relevant pastry experience
Ability to follow high-end plating standards and instructions
Strong understanding of dietary requirements, food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Mature, reliable, and strong work ethic
Willingness to learn and grow under senior leadership
