Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Scheduling:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated project schedules (Primavera P6)
  • Establish project baselines and ensure alignment with contractual requirements
  • Oversee progress measurement, schedule updates, and recovery plans
  • Provide strategic input on project timelines and resource planning

Cost Control & Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
  • Oversee cost tracking, variance analysis, and financial reporting
  • Ensure implementation of robust cost control systems and procedures
  • Advise senior management on cost risks and opportunities

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Lead the preparation of weekly and monthly project performance reports
  • Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) systems
  • Monitor KPIs and provide insights to improve project performance
  • Present progress and financial status to stakeholders and executives

Risk & Change Management:

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities
  • Oversee change control processes and evaluate cost/schedule impacts
  • Support claims management and contractual negotiations where required

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Manage and mentor planning and cost control teams
  • Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams
  • Drive a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Stakeholder & Compliance Management:

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and contractual obligations
  • Support audits, project reviews, and governance processes

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field)
  • Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in planning and cost control within Oil & Gas or Power Generation projects
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and cost control systems
  • Strong knowledge of EPC project environments
  • In-depth understanding of project controls, budgeting, and forecasting
