About the Role
My Client, a Construction Company in Uganda, is seeking an experienced Quality / QC Manager to join their team. With state-of-the-art facilities and skilled personnel, they deliver high-quality construction services on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. As a QA/QC Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of quality systems and monitoring compliance with client and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage QA/QC personnel and ensure all measuring and test equipment are in valid calibration status.
- Implement project-specific quality systems and monitor their effective use.
- Represent EXCEL-TERRAIN on quality issues before clients or their representatives.
- Coordinate inspections and testing according to quality control procedures and inspection/test plans.
- Handle all matters relating to nonconformance and maintain inspection records.
- Participate in project management meetings on issues related to the project quality system.
- Issue monthly QA/QC reports within the first week of the following month.
Requirements
- Tertiary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or similar, with associated tertiary training (e.g., Concrete Technology).
- Trained in ISO9001:2019 Management System.
- Ideally, 10 years or more experience on civil construction projects.
- Leadership qualities with experience in managing a team of QA supervisors and technicians.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Tertiary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or similar, with associated tertiary training (e.g., Concrete Technology).
- Trained in ISO9001:2019 Management System.
