About the Role
The Quality / QC Manager position at Zeebra Junction Specialist Recruitment’s client, a Construction Company in Uganda, is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable organization that specializes in comprehensive construction solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in all construction services.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing QA/QC personnel and ensuring all measuring and test equipment are in valid calibration status.
- Implementing project-specific quality systems and monitoring their effective use.
- Representing EXCEL-TERRAIN on quality issues before clients or their representatives.
- Coordinating inspections and testing in accordance with quality control procedures and inspection/test plans.
- Handling all matters relating to nonconformance and maintaining inspection records.
- Participating in project management meetings on issues related to the project quality system.
- Issuing monthly QA/QC reports within the first week of the following month.
Requirements
- Tertiary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or similar, with associated tertiary training (e.g., Concrete Technology).
- Trained in ISO9001:2019 Management System.
- Ideally, 10 years or more experience on civil construction projects.
- Leadership qualities with experience in managing a team of QA supervisors and technicians.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
