About the Role

We are seeking a talented Front-End Developer to join our dynamic development team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks, and will thrive in an Agile development environment working with large and evolving codebases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript

• Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

• Integrate front-end components with REST APIs and backend services

• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product teams

• Manage and collaborate on code using GitHub

• Participate in Agile ceremonies using tools such as Jira and Confluence

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

• Work with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure

• Optimize applications for performance and scalability

• Contribute to maintaining and improving large or evolving codebases

Requirements

  • 4 to 5 years of front-end development experience in production environments
  • Strong proficiency in React and npm
  • Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript
  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design
  • Experience integrating REST APIs
  • Strong understanding of DOM manipulation and modern web architecture
  • Experience working in Git-based version control
  • Experience working in Agile SDLC environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven experience building applications using React and TypeScript
  • Strong understanding of Single Page Application (SPA) architecture
  • Experience working within large or evolving codebases
