Job Description
This internationally recognised organisation delivers complex infrastructure and engineering projects across multiple sectors. The Reporting & Tax Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and adherence to global financial governance standards.
This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages deadlines effectively, and can collaborate with both local and global finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS and global reporting frameworks.
- Manage tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax submissions, and liaising with external tax advisors.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting cycles.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure adherence to internal control frameworks.
- Partner with project, commercial, and operational teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of audit requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) is ideal.
- Around 3 years of experience in financial reporting, tax, or a similar accounting role.
- Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, consulting, or other project-based professional services environments is essential.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation.
- Experience or exposure to operations across the African continent will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and jurisdictions.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
