Sales and Marketing Director | Tanzania | Luxury Hospitality We are seeking an exceptional SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR to develop and execute the commercial strategy for an exclusive portfolio of luxury safari lodges and camps in Tanzania. In this pivotal executive role, you will lead all sales, marketing, revenue generation, brand positioning, and business development activities. Your primary focus will be to maximize occupancy, ADR, and market share while fiercely protecting and elevating our premium brand positioning on the global stage. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement annual sales and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives; establish revenue targets, budgets, and KPIs; and contribute directly to company growth initiatives as a key member of the executive leadership team. Sales & Business Development: Lead international and domestic sales activities, targeting key source markets (North America, UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia). Build and maintain deep relationships with luxury travel advisors, tour operators, DMCs, wholesalers, and consortia. Marketing & Brand Management: Oversee integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, PR, and traditional channels. Champion website management, SEO, content creation, and global storytelling initiatives while collaborating with PR agencies and media partners. Revenue & Distribution Management: Partner closely with reservations and revenue teams to optimize pricing, manage inventory, and monitor booking pace, occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR to maximize profitability across all distribution channels. Team Leadership & Excellence: Mentor, inspire, and develop a high-performance sales and marketing team, cultivating a culture focused on results, accountability, and unparalleled guest satisfaction. Guest & Trade Relations: Serve as a global brand ambassador for the company and Tanzania’s luxury safari sector at international trade shows, roadshows, and industry events. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field (an MBA or Master’s degree is highly preferred). Luxury Hospitality Expertise: Minimum of 10 years of senior sales and marketing leadership experience within the luxury hospitality sector. Regional Industry Experience: At least 5 years of experience specifically handling luxury safari lodges, camps, resorts, or high-end travel brands within Africa. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in exceeding revenue targets, building international sales networks, and navigating luxury travel distribution channels and safari operations. Key Skills & Attributes Mastery of strategic planning, contract negotiation, revenue management, and budget forecasting. Advanced knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce, and market trend analysis. Exceptional written and verbal English communication and presentation skills. A commercially driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a profound attention to detail. A natural relationship builder and creative storyteller who thrives in multicultural environments. Absolute willingness to travel extensively worldwide.
