is recruiting on behalf of an award-winning luxury safari operator with properties across East Africa for an experienced and commercially astute & Our client is a celebrated luxury safari group with a portfolio of lodges, camps, and bespoke travel experiences spanning Southern and East Africa. They are seeking an accomplished commercial leader to take full ownership of group-wide revenue performance, reservations, and DMC bookings – a senior role with broad scope, real strategic influence, and high visibility at board level. This is a rare opportunity to shape and unify the commercial engine of a deeply respected African travel brand. Based in Cape Town and reporting into the CEO, the successful candidate will lead the integrated revenue, reservations, and DMC functions across multiple properties and safari operations. The role carries direct accountability for yield, pricing, occupancy, and rate performance, while overseeing teams of around twenty across Cape Town and Arusha. Beyond commercial outcomes, the position drives systems modernisation, process improvement, and the smooth handover from booking through to in-field guest delivery. A diploma or degree in hospitality, tourism, business, commerce, or a related discipline. At least 10 years’ experience within luxury hospitality, safari, DMC, or upmarket travel operations. A minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity managing multi-functional or multi-site teams. Proven track record across reservations management, revenue and yield optimisation, and operational coordination. Strong commercial and financial acumen – comfortable owning RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and forecasting outcomes. Advanced working knowledge of PMS, reservations platforms, channel managers, DMC systems, and reporting dashboards. Demonstrable ability to lead systems and process modernisation, including automation and workflow improvements. Strong people leadership – capable of unifying cross-cultural teams across multiple geographies. Calm, structured, and solutions-focused under pressure, with high personal accountability. Confident communicator with the maturity to engage credibly at board and executive level.
