Safari JOBS is searching for an experienced Senior Guide for a high-end safari environment where exceptional guiding standards, confident guest hosting, and personalised safari experiences are key. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned guide looking to step into a role where experience, presence, and high standards will be truly valued. The Guides core focus will be to lead guided walks, conduct game drives, and provide a confident senior presence around guests, including hosting and guest interaction. when not actively out on walks or drives. This is a bespoke safari environment, with no set activity times for guests, requiring a flexible, guest-aware guide who can tailor each safari experience with confidence and professionalism. Our client would also welcome couple applications, specifically where the Guides partner is an experienced lodge Front of House professional or Spa Therapist. Clear criminal record; Excellent employment track record references will be verified; Excellent English fluency & literacy; FGASA Trails Guide (1st Rifle) preferably NQF 4; CATHSETTA VPDA, ARH & SAPS competency; Big 5 vehicle guiding and walking experience in a 4 / 5 star lodge environment; First Aid; FGASA membership; NDT registered; PrDP; All licences, memberships, qualifications must be valid ????????? ???????? Own rifle; Previous Assistant / Head Guide / Guide mentorship experience; Bush Lane qualification (30/20/10 or 15/10/5); Other special skills qualifications e.g. Specialist Birding, Astronomy etc ?????????? ?????? Confident & stable; Good vehicle knowledge; Able to host Guests with ease; Well-spoken and well presented; Must be passionate about conservation and hospitality. Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of developing high performance teams; Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task efficiently in a demanding / high occupancy environment. ??? ???????????????? The prime responsibilities are to A. Lead walks, B. Conduct game drives, C. Guest interaction / hosting – when not leading walks or busy with game drives; Deliver exceptional guest experiences; To support the continued development of the property and elevated safari experience, helping to maintain the lodges top-ranking position; Provide support with general habitat, property, or maintenance-related tasks as required; ??????????? ???? ??? ????? Guide salary: R25 – R30, 000.00 gross NEG. per month, DOE & qualifications; (Partner salary: Approx. R12 R15, 000.00 gross NEG, plus commission if a Therapist); Gratuities; Accommodation provided; Utilities; 3 meals per day; Uniform & laundry; Performance-related bonuses or any similar additional payments are not guaranteed and remain entirely at the discretion of the company Work Cycle: 21 days on, 7 days off + 21 annual leave days. ??????????? ???????
