About the Role
As a Site Supervisor at Riseup Management, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site operations within our manufacturing environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring production targets and operational deadlines are met, while also maintaining a safe working environment that adheres to Health & Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site operations within the manufacturing environment
- Supervise, coordinate and monitor daily activities of site staff
- Ensure production targets and operational deadlines are met
- Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, and productivity
- Capture, verify, and process payroll information accurately (timesheets, overtime, leave records, etc.)
- Liaise with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll submissions and queries
- Enforce discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure effective communication with staff
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions
- Manage staff performance, provide guidance, and conduct performance feedback sessions
- Handle employee grievances and escalate matters where necessary
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure proper use and control of company equipment and resources.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential
- Relevant qualification in Production, Operations Management, or Supervisory Management (Advantageous)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proven experience in supervising staff on-site
- Experience handling payroll processes and timesheet management
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation and disciplinary procedures
- Good understanding of health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
- Computer literate (MS Office – especially Excel)
- Strong administrative and reporting skills
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
- Must reside in or around Port Shepstone / South Coast.
