About the Role

As a Site Supervisor at Riseup Management, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site operations within our manufacturing environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring production targets and operational deadlines are met, while also maintaining a safe working environment that adheres to Health & Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site operations within the manufacturing environment
  • Supervise, coordinate and monitor daily activities of site staff
  • Ensure production targets and operational deadlines are met
  • Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, and productivity
  • Capture, verify, and process payroll information accurately (timesheets, overtime, leave records, etc.)
  • Liaise with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll submissions and queries
  • Enforce discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure effective communication with staff
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
  • Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions
  • Manage staff performance, provide guidance, and conduct performance feedback sessions
  • Handle employee grievances and escalate matters where necessary
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
  • Ensure proper use and control of company equipment and resources.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential
  • Relevant qualification in Production, Operations Management, or Supervisory Management (Advantageous)
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Proven experience in supervising staff on-site
  • Experience handling payroll processes and timesheet management
  • Strong knowledge of labour legislation and disciplinary procedures
  • Good understanding of health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate (MS Office – especially Excel)
  • Strong administrative and reporting skills
  • Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
  • Must reside in or around Port Shepstone / South Coast.
