About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Waiter to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality in Stellenbosch. As a luxury environment expert, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our distinguished clientele. If you have a passion for providing top-notch service and are well-versed in serving high-end guests, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure table setup: linen, silverware, glasses
- Greet guests at their assigned tables, ensuring they have food and wine menus
- Must know all menu items, ingredients used and preparation methods
- Accurately take orders using POS system, and deliver within time limits
- Make sure the kitchen & bar have received the orders
- Clearing of dirty cutlery and crockery when guests are done with them
- Upsell by offering coffees and desserts
- Make sure the restaurant is clean and hygienic
- Uniform must always be clean
Requirements
- Must have grade 12
- At least 3 years experience in a luxury environment, or 5 years as a head waiter
- Basic knowledge of wine and the surrounding wine region
- Basic math skills, hands-on cash register experience, and knowledge on ordering information systems
- Must be well-presented with an enthusiastic personality
- Flexible, accountable individual with excellent interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate
