About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and hardworking Head Chef to lead our team at an upmarket bistro and events venue in Table View. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for training and leading junior chefs, managing daily operations, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and lead junior chefs
- Run a tight ship, ensuring efficient kitchen operations
- Manage costing, ordering, and inventory control
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
- Travel to events and venues within reasonable distance (own transport required)
- Provide excellent customer service
Requirements
- 2-3 years head chef experience
- Strong leadership and training skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Own transport with contactable references
