About the Role
We are seeking a Process and Equipment Development Engineer to join our team in Vanderbijlpark, where you will be responsible for developing and improving process and equipment related to galvanizing and wire drawing processes and installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Design and develop new equipment and systems for galvanizing and wire drawing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize production workflows
- Conduct site visits and audits to identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Government Certificate of Competence in Engineering (GCC) advantageous
- 2 to 6 years of experience in galvanizing and wire drawing processes and installations
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and project planning methodologies
