Job Description

You will be reporting to the Production / Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the asset care and maintenance function to achieve the following outputs: Achieving optimal asset performance, reliability and availability across all production equipment Achieving and sustaining planned, preventative and predictive maintenance compliance Achieving machine efficiencies of at least 95% Ensuring all maintenance work is planned, executed and recorded accurately and timeously Eliminating repeat breakdowns through effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation Achieving breakdown response times within 15 minutes Preventing unplanned downtime caused by poor maintenance planning Developing and managing the maintenance budget in line with approved targets with no unapproved overspend Submitting accurate month-end maintenance reports 100% on time Ensuring full traceability of maintenance activities through accurate SAP records Ensuring availability of critical spares with zero stock-outs and at least 98% stock accuracy Ensuring moulds, tooling and equipment are serviced in line with approved schedules Implementing measurable continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, changeovers and sustainability Ensuring full compliance with OHS Act, company safety standards and FSSC22000 requirements Achieving a zero-injury workplace and zero food safety audit findings Maintaining housekeeping standards of at least 90% in all maintenance areas Building, leading and developing a competent and productive maintenance team Managing standby, overtime and maintenance resources effectively and fairly Ensuring all maintenance staff are trained, competent and proficient in SAP maintenance systems Chairing weekly maintenance meetings and ensuring actions are closed timeously N6 / S4 with Trade Test OR BTech Electrical or Mechanical Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering (advantageous) 5 years experience in maintenance or asset care management within a manufacturing environment Proven experience in implementing and managing maintenance programs Demonstrated experience in managing projects from concept to completion Proven leadership and people management capability Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Experience using SAP maintenance systems (advantageous) Sound understanding of ISO standards, FSSC22000 and OHS legislation Strong communication skills across all organisational levels Self-disciplined, methodical and results driven with a strong focus on operational excellence
