About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to join a prestigious luxury property group based in the Western Cape. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing all kitchen operations across the property, developing and implementing seasonal menus aligned with the group’s culinary vision, and maintaining exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations across the property
- Develop and implement seasonal menus aligned with the group’s culinary vision
- Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Manage kitchen teams, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance
- Ensure effective cost control, stock management, and minimisation of waste
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef within luxury hotels, lodges, or high-end restaurants
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
- Solid understanding of cost control, stock management, and budgeting
- Passion for high-quality ingredients and refined cuisine
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef within luxury hotels, lodges, or high-end restaurants
