Job Description
Hire Resolve’s client, a well-established engineering consultancy, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Engineer specializing in Civil projects and Structural design. This position is based in Westville, KZN.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead civil engineering projects from concept to completion
- Undertake feasibility studies and site investigations
- Prepare detailed designs and drawings
- Provide technical advice and guidance to clients
- Perform structural analysis and calculations
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals
- Oversee construction activities and conduct site inspections
- Manage project budgets and timelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA (non negotiable)
- 5 years pre-registration, 5 years post registration or 10 years total
- Extensive knowledge of civil design principles and practice
- Advanced skills in structural analysis and design software
- Strong project management and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience in civil projects and structural design.
- Experience of leading design team.
- Experience in running projects.
- Client interface experience would be good.
- Computer skills.
- Prokon or similar.
- Autocad or similar.
- Revit would be of benefit.
- Microsoft suite.
