Hire Resolves client is seeking a qualified and experienced Plant Chargehand to oversee operations at their mining facility in the Northern Cape region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of plant operators and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of processing equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of plant operators and technicians in the operation of processing equipment
• Monitor and analyse plant performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees
• Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and schedule repairs as needed
• Communicate effectively with plant management and other team members to coordinate daily operations and address any issues that may arise
• Train and mentor new employees on proper plant operation procedures and safety protocols

Requirements: 

• Certificate: Grade 12 (Required)
• Certificate: Trade Test Artisan Boilermaker / Fitter (Required)
• Certificate N3: Engineering studies (Required)
• Valid Drivers License Code B / EB (Required)
• Dover B Symbol (Required)
• 4 Years Post apprenticeship experience in a heavy industrial, mining or plant environment
• 1 Year Supervisory experience.
• Valid Drivers License Code B / EB (Required).
• Dover B symbol (Required).
