An established company in Malta, is seeking an experienced lagger to joint their dynamic team

The primary purpose of this role is to provide thermal, acoustic, and fireproofing insulation for pipes, ducts, and equipment.

Responsibilities: 

• : Install insulation materials around pipes, ducts, boilers, and equipment to minimize heat loss or gain.
• Maintain consistent system temperatures, improve energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
• Apply lagging to prevent condensation on cold surfaces, which could lead to water damage or corrosion.
• Use insulation to reduce noise transmission in duct systems and mechanical equipment.
• Apply fire-resistant insulation to enhance safety and meet fire protection standards.
• Ensure that hot surfaces are properly lagged to prevent burns or other workplace injuries.
• Prevent moisture and external environmental factors from corroding pipes and equipment.
• Choose appropriate insulation materials, such as fiberglass, mineral wool, or foam, based on system requirements.
• Apply coverings, such as aluminum cladding or PVC, for protection and a polished finish.
• Ensure all lagging materials and installations meet industry standards and safety codes.
• Inspect and repair damaged insulation to maintain system performance and energy efficiency.
• Replace outdated or ineffective lagging with modern, more efficient materials.

Requirements: 

• Proven experience as a Lagger.
• Knowledge of various insulation materials and their applications.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.
