The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety, and providing excellent patient care throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CT (Computed Tomography) scanning equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients for CT exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
• Perform imaging procedures according to physicians orders and established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA and departmental standards.
• Evaluate images for quality and collaborate with radiologists to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Administer contrast injections or oral contrast as required, monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Maintain and care for CT equipment; report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Follow radiation safety standards to protect patients, self, and staff.
• Participate in continuing education and training to maintain professional credentials.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and CT (or eligibility to obtain).
• Valid state license as required.
• Prior experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and patient-centered approach.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move patients as necessary.
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment.
