Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform daily bookkeeping functions
• Process and reconcile cashbook and petty cash transactions
• Complete bank reconciliations and ensure all entries are accurate and timely
• Manage customer-facing finance queries, payments, and auction proceeds
• Support with group and payroll processes (beneficial but not essential)
• Prepare reports for management and assist with ad-hoc accounting duties

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Diploma or BCom in Finance / Accounting – essential
• 1–2 years’ accounting experience, preferably in a customer-facing or small business environment
• Proven skills in bookkeeping, cashbook management, and reconciliations
• Experience with Pastel or Xero advantageous; Excel proficiency essential
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts
• Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with people
• Exposure to group finance or payroll an added advantage
• Immediately available or on two-week notice period

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a leading FMCG distribution centre. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all financial data and transactions are accurately captured, reconciled, and reported, producing quality trial balances and financial reports for the Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily reconciliation of bank account ledgers and cash-ups
• Weekly reconciliation of supplier accounts
• Maintenance of general ledger accounts
• Daily balancing and reporting of sales
• Completion of accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations for month-end reporting

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Matric
Completed Diploma or Degree in Finance
Intermediate Excel skills
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a stock environment
Ability to work effectively under pressure
