About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a talented and experienced IT Asset Manager to join their team in Cape Town, WC. The successful candidate will be part of a team of experienced professionals offering comprehensive assessment of the IT environment, which includes a review of licensing agreements, cloud infrastructure usage and costs, and existing IT assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT asset management policies and procedures
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets
- Monitor and track IT asset usage and lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with software licenses and vendor agreements
- Identify opportunities to optimize asset utilization and reduce costs
- Coordinate with IT, procurement, and finance teams to track asset purchases, deployments, and retirements
- Conduct regular audits of IT assets to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Provide reports and analysis on asset performance, cost savings, and risks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT asset management or related field
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software asset management principles and practices
- Experience with asset management tools and software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
