About the Role

The Agricultural Technical and Marketing Manager will oversee the sales, marketing, and production of nursery stock in Hoedspruit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in agricultural technical expertise, quality control, and customer relations. They will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote nursery products and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor records of plant inventory, including tracking growth stages and availability
• Analyse market trends to anticipate customer demand
• Provide technical guidance to customers and lead meetings
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote nursery products
• Monitor competitor activities and pricing
• Conduct market research to identify emerging plant varieties and trends

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in agricultural production, quality control, or a related field
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English
• Ability to act proactively in case of potential problems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Agricultural qualification (N1-N7)
• Relevant degree or diploma in agriculture or a related field
