About the Role
We are seeking two experienced Site Agents to join our team on a prestigious residential and commercial construction project in Sandton. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on schedule, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and supervising all on-site construction activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards
- Monitoring project progress and proactively addressing any delays or issues that may arise
- Recording and maintaining accurate project documentation, including daily reports, work schedules, and budget updates
- Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all on-site personnel
- Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicating effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and consultants
- Providing regular progress updates to senior management and offering recommendations for improvement as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Site Agent on residential and commercial construction projects
- Qualified with a relevant degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion
- Sound knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of subcontractors and laborers
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Site Agent on residential and commercial construction projects (no formal education mentioned)
