About the Role
Hire Resolve, a reputable recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Conventional Turner to join a well-established company based in Epping. As a Conventional Turner, you will use your expertise in operating conventional lathes and other machinery to create precision parts and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate conventional lathes and other equipment to perform turning operations
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Select and use appropriate cutting tools and materials for each job
- Monitor and control machining processes to ensure product quality and accuracy
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Adhere to safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production and meet deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Conventional Turner
- 0.2 Tolerances
- Proficient in operating conventional lathes and other turning machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant trade qualification or certification is preferred
